Streaming market

Netflix no longer leads everywhere.

Which subscription streamer people turn to, country by country, from JustWatch's quarterly reports. The shares measure interest among JustWatch users — searches, watchlists and clicks to a service — not viewing time or subscribers.

03 / National giants

Big at home, absent elsewhere

Some major streamers serve a single country. In China, where Netflix is not offered, people watch on Tencent Video and iQIYI. In India, JioHotstar comes second only to Prime Video in the latest JustWatch report. Others are regional: Shahid in the Arab world, Viu in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Each country page lists its own.

About these figures

  • JustWatch publishes quarterly shares per country from activity on its own site and app. They show where interest goes, not how many people subscribe or how long they watch, and they leave out free services such as public broadcasters' players.
  • We take each country's latest report as published in the press and link it; only the services the article names are listed, so shares do not add up to 100%.
  • Subscriber numbers are the companies' own, with the date they refer to. Amazon, Apple and Google do not publish them for Prime Video, Apple TV and YouTube, and the figures are not comparable as a ranking because they refer to different dates.
  • Reports are checked monthly and replaced when a newer quarter appears. YouTube is not part of these reports; from the November 2026 traffic update, its reach and that of the other global streamers is measured with Chrome traffic on each country page.
